Los Angeles Times won a Pulitzer Prize in the Spot News category for the Riot coverage that year.

I took this photo on the first night of the April 29, 1992 Los Angeles Riots. My colleague at the time Larry Davis droved while I took this photo. Both of us risked our lives taking news photos that evening.
