I clocked this Jindo doing 35 m.p.h. in California's Mojave Desert. Jindos love to run and they have the deep-chested marathoner's lungs to do it. Their innate sense of direction also keeps them from getting lost in the wild.

Dear Friends,

Thanks for visiting my Jindo dog site. I admit that I have not expanded this site as I originally planned when I launched this site in 1995. With a full-time career, three active boys and staying married, I have hard time finding time to work on this project anymore. I have an offer to write a book on Jindo dogs but I cannot financially afford to take time off from career to work on a jindo project. I'm open for sabbatical or grant that will enable me to take necessary time to do a responsible job. If anyone know such, please let me know.

Although I cannot always reply in a timely manner, I'll try to answer any question that you may have on the Jindo breed or anything else you care to share with me on the subject of dogs. Please remember that I usually don't reply to anonymous email or generic dog care questions.

There is an urgent need to establish a "Jindo Rescue" network to save unwanted and homeless Jindos. I would like to hear from anyone who may be interested in get involved in this effort.

Here's my suggestion that will save a bundle of problems in the future. I would like to ask everyone to consider the following:
1.  Attend dog obedience school with your Jindo.
2.  Neuter or Spay your Jindo before it reaches 6-months-old.
3.  Try to keep only one Jindo per family. Each Jindo deserves all the attention your family can give.

You can always e-mail me at: jindo@kang.org

Thanks for visiting my site.

I 'd like to take this opportunity to thank a guy who has helped me tremendously with my Jindo research. He's here.

Jindo expert Joony Yoon is pictured with Donji. Mr. Yoon is a certified Jindo dog judge from Korea. He has been researching the Jindo since he was in his teens. Donji is considered one of the best red Jindo in America.
