In the next 16 pages, I have put together an introduction
to the Korean Jindo dog that is not well known in the English
speaking world.
Since I first reported on the breed in the Los Angeles Times
in 1994, I have been answering individual questions from people
who somehow heard about the breed. I had planned to publish the
first English book on the breed and had embarked on the project.
With my personal responsibility at home growing, I've postponed
the publishing of the book for now, but have put together this
Jindo web site with text and photos.
With increased number of accidental and irresponsible breeding
of Jindo dogs in America, there is a growing and dire need to
place homeless and unwanted Jindo dogs to suitable homes. If
you have had experience of caring for a dog and are interested
in tying a primitive dog breed, please let me know. I'll try
to line up available Jindo dogs with willing homes.
I hope you find the Jindo page informative and educational.
Feel free to send me your impressions and questions.
Please understand that I won't be able to reply to
all your email but I promise I will read all of them.
